GST invoices for salons, explained
A GST invoice has to carry certain details. Vizzit fills them in from your business details and the checkout, so the front desk only records what happened.
What goes on the bill
- Your business name, address, GSTIN and state.
- The words “Tax invoice”, an invoice number in sequence, and the date and time.
- Who the bill is for.
- Each service, with its SAC code and taxable value, and any discount.
- The taxable value, CGST and SGST for a sale within your state, and the total.
- How it was paid, and the amount in words.
How Vizzit fills it in
- Your GSTIN, legal name and address come from Business details, once, for every store of the business.
- Services and their prices come from your catalogue, with GST included or added as you set in Tax and GST.
- At checkout, the front desk adds services, applies an offer or a discount within their limits, and records how the customer paid.
- Vizzit numbers the invoice, works out the tax and the amount in words, and lets you Print, Email or Download PDF.
Refunds and corrections
When you record a refund you have given, Vizzit makes a credit note for GST. After the day is closed, only the Owner can change that day’s bills, with a reason.
