Fewer no-shows: a cancellation policy that works

Most no-shows are forgotten bookings or unclear rules. Reminders fix the first; clear rules, written down and sent with every booking, fix the second.

Remind people

Vizzit emails a confirmation when a booking is made and a reminder before the visit. Keep customers’ email addresses up to date at the front desk, and the reminders go out without anyone remembering to send them.

Choose clear rules

Your booking rules say until when a booking can be cancelled for free, and what happens after that or on a no-show. Start from Standard, Relaxed or Strict and choose Read the client wording to see exactly what customers will read.

  • Pick a cut-off people can keep, for example the day before for long services.
  • Say the same thing on the phone, at the desk and in writing.
  • Apply the rule the same way to everyone, and note exceptions with a reason.

Wording clients accept

Short, polite and specific works best: what to do if plans change, by when, and why it matters to the team waiting for them. Vizzit gives you templates; the final wording of your terms is yours, so check it with your own adviser.

Mark no-shows, and learn from them

Mark a missed visit No-show in the calendar. It stays in the customer’s history, appears in the day’s figures when you close the day, and shows you who needs a call before their next booking.
